We Are Here in Faith's City

We arrived safe and sound today in Guangzhou around 6PM. We took a neat little train ride (hour and a half) from Hong Kong to Guangzhou. We are staying at the Victory again like we did last year. Our rooms are wonderful especially compared to the last hotel. Sheila and the boys have a room with 3 single beds in there and plenty of space. We have a suite with a king bed and a BABY CRIB! We went to dinner at Lucy's and haven't seen hardly anyone at all here on the island. It looks more like a deserted island. Hopefully there will be more people out and about tomorrow.

Reality of why we have traveled across the world is sinking in again. So far this journey has resembled an exotic vacation, but that is not why we are here. We are here because we have a little girl-OUR little girl-waiting for us to come and take her home. Things will definitely change tomorrow for everyone. I am praying for an easy transition, but as with Shelby, I realize it may not be so easy. Please keep us and our baby girl in your prayers today. Oh my goodness...only one more sleep before our lives are forever changed :)

So here we are on Sunday morning in GA -- cold and a little frosty. Thinking of you as you get ready for bed - hope you can sleep!

The pics from the playground look so nice!

Praying for you guys; I'm sure that having your sister there will help so much with T, C and S.

Once you see that crib, everything sure does seem real!

Lucy's has some sort of tortilla with something that resembles salsa! We got it twice - the hamburgers scared me a little!

We just prayed for you before leaving for church (26 degrees)!
Remember God will take care of Shelbys needs. Indeed, she will feel the difference, however, God knows your heart and will take care of the needs we can't. You are a wonderful example of christian love to us all!

Well while you are in 70 deg. weather.... it is cold enough here to have a fire in the fireplace which I did Yesterday(sat) and sat by it all day and wasted my day away you know my favorite thing to do!!!!! As I look at the time here at 8:45 am on Sunday.... I am thinking that you are getting ready to go to bed before too much longer and then when you wake up it's going to be the day to get baby Faith. I am very excited to see her in your arms. I am keeping you in my prayers that things go smoothly as possible and for everyones strength (especially for your back!) Thanks for all the posts so all of us lurkers can keep up to date on your journey.

Oh you got to eat at Dolche. If you love gnocchi, they have the best I have ever tasted. Be careful at Lucy's heard several people getting sick last week there.

Can't wait to see your posts tomorrow!!! It will all be good! And as for the exotic vacation, it is done and over because the hard work does start tomorrow and it is no longer what we know as a vacation.

God is good!

Hey Donna - tell Jophy that Liz and Dan and Michelle Xing Xing hope she will find a job. I can not believe you will be her last family- so sad.

We are excited for your big wonderful family. God will guide you and he did not have you travel across the country to be miserable- I am sure your story is going to have a wonderful ending because God orchestrated your life- and HE is Good. So go get that baby girl and enjoy every moment - tears and all.
