Mountain Park

Today we went the other family here that are relatives of our friends from church to the Mountain Park. Sheila and Heather were both crazy enough to walk up the mountain, but we opted for the trolley up and the cable car down. Guess she gets cheescake tonight and I have to eat oranges ;) We then did lunch at the Cow and Bridge Thai restaurant that we had heard so much about.

Brian has that restaurant figured out so when we got there, they tried to trick us and give us the very expensive dinner menu. But Brian insisted on the cheap lunch menu and it was great. We enjoyed a nice almost Chinese dinner for a change. Obviously Chinese food here is the same as at home being priced twice as much at dinner time than lunch time. And I thought that was just a dumb American thing!

We then went to the park and then up to the room where we talked Faith into crawling!! She is so much more active today than she has been the entire time we have had her. She was bouncing off the walls on the bus today and Caleb said, "Mom, what is wrong with her?". He thought she was having a fit or something since he had not seen her do hardly anything until today. Obviously it didn't take her long to get as crazy as her new family :)

Weather is perfect here. 70s during the day and maybe around 60 at night. Only a light sweater or jacket is needed at night. We were almost smashed today on the highway by a big truck, so obviously you guys are praying for us or I am not sure we would still be here today! Keep praying these drivers are nuts around here :)

We are definitely praying for you all each day! Every time I think that traffic on 285 is crazy, I just think of China.

It's so good to see that Faith is warming up to the fam! Pretty soon she will be checking out your Christmas tree. So, is China "observing" Christmas? Do you see/hear any evidence of that? Curious....

Glad the weather is nice!

Oh my goodness!!! I'm glad that you didn't get smashed. I will keep praying for your safe return home. It's been very rainy here the past couple of days. So enjoy the weather there while you can. I still can't believe the fingers it's cracking me up!

She better get mobile and in a hurry to keep up with your active crew, LOL. It is great to see her smiling and that smile is a direct reflection of the love an attention that she is getting from her family.

Chinese drivers are crazy and every time you get in a motorized vehicle it is like a combination of dodgeball and chicken. Keeping you in our prayers.

We are still praying!!! And counting down the days till you get home. We are going to make a paper chain for Emily so it will be easier for her to know when she can see Shelby. Can you tell mommy is having a hard time getting her to understand 3 weeks! Chris
Emily says "Hi Shelby" and "When are you coming home" (surprise, surprise)

How amazing! Love and nutrition go a LONG way in changing a child. Faith looks so happy! What a great experience you are having. I'm so glad you don't have to travel around and get to stay in one place!

How exciting that Faith is crawling. She is too cute-love those chubby cheeks. Sarah Beth keeps pointing to her and saying, "more baby!!" Abby says that is a sign we need a baby too-oh my these children of ours!
We are keeping up the prayers for ya'll. Remember those days of holding your breath then running for your life across the street!
We are loving all your pictures!
