Headed out to Guangxi

Just a quick post before we leave for Nanning today at noon. We should be in Nanning around 7PM tonight-your 6am according to the time change. It is unbelievable that we are going to be only miles away from our little one. I will try to post tonight when we get to the new hotel-Wharton. We loved the acrobatic show last night except for the fact that I was so tired from staying up all day, I kept dosing off. But the boys and CJ were glued to the show the whole time. We are now going to venture out on the streets-alone. Scary I know but we want to get some video footage of Beijing. Will post some more pics tonight. Again keep commenting as we love to hear from you all. Caleb is really enjoying reading the comments as well. Oh and we do plan for him to squeeze in some homework time on the 3 1/2 hour plane ride today.

Dear Ger Gers ( Big Brothers) I remember this day so well- My husband and I were so excited for Gotcha Day- but the highlights was not about us- It was about Zach and Michelle- Big Brother - Little Sister. Immediately Michelle Caixing bonded and loved her big brother - Your Shelby is so lucky - two Ger Gers- Wow. Today will be a day you will always remember- Take alot of pics - Make sure Dad and Mom teach you how to use the camera.
She may be a little bit scared but two big brothers can help. Remember to give your mommy and daddy alot of hugs and kisses so Shelby will know how wonderful being in your family can be. Also Zach was wonderful at making jokes and laughing. Little kids always love silly big brothers. I know you both will be the best. Have fun with your new Mei Mei.

Can't wait to meet Shelby

We are so excited for you all. It is so wonderful looking at your pictures and trying to imagine ourselves there. We will be in Beijing, one week from today!!! We will be praying for you and can't wait for your "gotcha". My favorite thing you said was "two more sleeps until Shelby is in my arms." That is so how we feel. We are so excited about finally meeting ya'll. We will be watching you daily. Blessings!

What a beautiful daughter you are going to get. Looking foreward to following the rest of your journey over there. We got back on the 17th of October and loved every minute over there. Stayed at the Wharton as well, then the White Swan in Guangzhou. Take the trip over to the peoples park if you get the chance, it is pretty nice. Isn't Nanning a wonderful city?

All the best, Dave & Kris Gleason

The excitement is just building! I am so glad that you have the "big" brothers for Shelby! The language of children is universal and they will be her safe haven. I cannot wait to read your about your first feelings with Shelby! Just try and keep in the front of your mind that even though this is one of the most wonderful days for her she won't realize that for years to come. Sleep well Straight family, your lives are soon to be enriched beyond your wildest imagination!

I'm addicted to this blog. Scott and I check it every morning and every afternoon we get home from work. I've even snuck into the computer at work to see the new photos. I can't believe I didn't go with you. Sounds like everyone is having a great time. Call me when you can, I have to ask you something. It's no hurry though. Love you,
Sheila

Hello Caleb!

Now will be the perfect time to practice .... SUBTRACTION... bet you'll beat the "timer" on our next subtraction homework!

Oh, by the way, Frank called and he did NOT catch a fish in Saturday's tournament. Maybe he'll catch a monster today.

Miss you guys!

I love checking this blog as well. O my gosh, I think I'm obssessed too! I am really enjoying getting to read the blog everyday. I love to read all of your friends comments as well. So many who are experiencing the same gift as all of you! I hope God keeps & watches over their journeys as well. My heart is really sad that we can't be closer to share in the joys of Shelby & just the everyday things with all of you guys. It also makes me grateful for all of our children. It's such an eye opening situation, that makes you hold your little ones a little longer during that good night hug, and to absolutely cherish the little things!! So until We think of you often! Jessie misses his big brother too! I am happy to see that CJ & Jessie have alot of the same SuperDad traits. So rest up very soon you will have that beautiful baby in your arms forever. And when you do - give Caleb, Travis, & Shelby an extra long hug & kiss from me & Uncle Jessie! WE LOVE YOU ALL!
