You got so lucky by beginning on the adoption journey. A journey that featured hoops and tunnels in the government(s) canyons only to emerge into redtape swamp. Once you exited redtape swamp, you began your climb up the paperwork mountain range. Only when you reached the top could you board the runaway adoption thrill roller-coaster for a twisty and turn filled wild ride to the final destination.
