Dune Buggy Time

We went last weekend to Cracker Barrel for breakfast. We decided to try Faith out in the dune buggy! She wasn't crazy about it for sure, but she survived ;) And of course rewarded with some candy in the end. She thought it was worth it!

Real Photo Session

We are getting ready for our big photo session with the wonderful Pixel Fairy Princess tomorrow night! I have followed her blogs for a couple of years now, so I am so excited that she will be actually taking pics of my kids :) I finally picked out their outfits to wear and pray they don't get "stuff" on them before we get to her house tomorrow night. Anyone out there ever tried to get 4 kids cleaned up all at the same time?!?! Any hints would be appreciated, as I don't think I will put their shirts on until we get there.

I had to do some pre-cleaning last night removing tatoos from Shelby. If anyone needs to know, Chris informed me that rubbing alcohol takes off the tattoos-she was right! I think that probably says something about my family that it takes 2 days ahead of time to get clean ;)

Babies Can't Wait Again

We are using the Babies Can't Wait GA program again with Faith. I am not quite as pleased with the services we have received so far, so I had another "meeting" today with a representative. I want to up her speech therapy sessions to at least once a week for 30 minutes each. They have only been sporadic up until now. Although Faith has made great progress in her speech, she is still obviously behind in her speech compared to her peers. I am really hoping that we can get her up to speed before she starts PreK. I realize that her delays are all "normal" delays due to her orphanage care. I just want the best for her so she can communicate to the best of her abilities.

Faith has started to repeat more and more words and is so darn cute when she does. Of course her favorite phrase these days is...OH MAN! Instead of saying the normal toddler uh-oh, she says "Oh Man!". Too funny to hear. What a sweet baby girl I am privileged to call my daughter :)

Vacation Time

We just got back from our week long vacation in Gatlinburg, TN. We had a good time spending time with the kids. Sheila and her family went too. We both have campers, so we vacation together often. Faith sure had fun with Aunt Sheila hanging around all week for sure. We spent a couple days at Dollywood, and most days just hanging out at the creeks and such. It was alot of fun, but now we are back to the real world.

Oh and we celebrated Faith's birthday last week a little bit. She turned TWO years old! Since we were gone, we didn't have a party this year. However, I plan to make that up with a big one next year when she will really understand birthdays. She did get to have a cake and candles this year even though she still won't eat cake! We gave her a birthday ice cream cone (minus the ice cream) instead considering that is her favorite food of choice. We are still working on her picky eating, but taking it one day at a time. I don't think she is starving to death though ;)

More Joy Coming Home

Tammy and Tony have landed in China and are about to experience one of God's amazing moments...ADOPTION! I have been with Tammy throughout her journey as she and I paperchased together back in 2007. I can't wait to see her with her beautiful daughter finally in her arms soon :)

Also my friend Darcy is heading over to China tomorrow to pick up her newest addition...Michael! What a brave one she is to go to China by herself to get her son. She felt this was the best thing for her family considering all the crazy quarantines from the swine flu. She already has 3 little ones, so they did not want to risk being separated from their kids in any way. She also has family in China, so she won't really be completely alone the whole time. SO happy this family is getting a little boy for their family. With 3 girls at home, they didn't know what they were missing! Boy oh boy are they in for a change!! Now if I can only talk Lucy and Doug into adding a little blue ;)

Please pray for these beautiful families as they journey across the world...to change it...one child at a time!
